- On Thursday of last week the junior girls basketball team won a thriller over Newmarket High 38-33 and followed that win up with another win yesterday afternoon over Cardinal Carter 68-37. These two wins extend the junior girls winning streak to 5 games and an overall record of 5 wins and zero losses, and first place in the YRAA North division. Way to go Wildcats. Next game is Monday vs Mulock in the Williams Gym.
- Congratulations to the Senior Girls Basketball team on some very close games this week. Despite injuries and foul trouble, your Seniors took Mulock to the wire, in a thriller on Tuesday. They came up just short, falling 40-36. Parmida had 13 and Maddie rained in threes in the 2nd half, finishing with 20 points. Last night against Newmarket High, the Senior girls clawed back from 7 points behind with 3 minutes to go. They stole a 42-41 win thanks to a 24 point outing from Parmida and some stellar rebounding from Pariza. Come and cheer them on Monday for their last home game against Sacred Heart! Way to go girls!
