April is Autism Acceptance Month, a time to celebrate the unique perspectives and talents within the autistic community. To mark the end of the month, the Community Class and Best Buddies are hosting a Butterfly Making Challenge! The butterfly represents the beautiful diversity of the autistic community and our goal to transform old stigmas into understanding. How to join: Pick up your butterfly outline at the library. Bring your creativity and design your own to show your support. Enter to win our contest draw by adding your design to the butterfly wall in the library. We can't wait to see your designs! Further details are inside the library entrance.

 

The Williams Community Band has an opening for a keyboard player to perform in a pop / rock style. Interested persons are asked to meet with Mr. Gayadeen.

Attention all artists, independent musicians, film creators and artisans! We are accepting your creative submissions for arts night which is taking place Thursday May 14. Scan the QR code outside of room 200 or on the announcement board if you are interested in sharing a submission or performing.

 

Attention Grade 11 IB students. The exam general preparation session after school today has been cancelled. Thank you for your interest in the previous sessions.

Are you an aspiring poet? Submit your work to the CWC’s Williams Spring Poetry Contest where you have the chance to compete and win a prize! There is a strict 3-page limit and the deadline is April 30th, 2026! Sign in with QR codes on posters around the school and English classrooms.

Attention Grade 12s—mark your calendars! The Grad 2026 drone photo is happening this Thursday, April 16th. At 10:45 AM (end of Period 2), you will be called down to head to the turf field where Yearbook members will be on hand to help you all form the number “26.”  This is the only chance (weather permitting), so don’t miss it! Check your Gapps email from April 1st for more details.

 

Graduating Wildcats, this message is for you! Are you or someone you know looking for the opportunity to represent your peers and address them as the Valedictorian for this year’s graduating class? You can suggest a peer or yourself for this opportunity.   Nominations are now open. Make sure to have three students as well as three teachers that you have spoken to directly and have agreed to support the nomination. Complete the google form posted to the Guidance Google Classroom or linked to the QR code found in some grade 12 classes, or outside the math/English, main, or guidance offices.  All nominations close promptly at 11:59 PM on Monday, April 20th.
