We’re excited to welcome you to our new Library Learning Commons—a space designed to support learning, creativity, and community.
The Commons is primarily a quiet study space, giving students a calm environment to focus and succeed. At the same time, it offers much more:
- Books & Reading: Our growing collection includes both fiction and non-fiction, with something for every interest and need.
- Games & Puzzles: Take a mindful break with board games and puzzles available for students to enjoy.
- Collaboration & Conferences: Flexible spaces and a conference room make it easy to work together on group projects or presentations.
- Technology Access: Chromebooks are available to support your digital learning and research needs.
- Makerspace: We’re continuing to build our makerspace, where students can explore hands-on creativity, problem-solving, and innovation.
The Library Learning Commons is here to support you—whether you’re seeking a quiet spot to study, a resource to enrich your research, or a space to collaborate and create.

The LLC has a few rules and expectations in place to ensure a comfortable environment is provided for students and staff.
- Students may use the LLC during lunch, spare, and before/after school.
- Students can access library resources (chromebooks, printer, etc) during the first and last 15 minutes of each period.
- The LLC is a shared space, so noise should be kept at a respectable level.
- No food or drink (except water) is to be consumed in the library.
- Study carrels at the back of the library are reserved for individual and quiet study only.
- Please use the tables in the center of the library for collaborative work.
- Seating is determined by the number of chairs at each table.
- Furniture is not to be moved around.
- Please help us keep the library clean and put garbage in the appropriate containers.
- Students can print, scan and copy from their account using the copier machine.
- At the start of the school year, students are given a credit of $2.00 in their print accounts.
- Printing costs $0.02 per page (double-sided is $0.04).
- Students may print black and white copies only; there is no colour printer in the LLC.
- Lamination is available at a cost of $0.25/sheet (8.5x11)
- Computers are prioritized for school-related work only.
- The library offers daily and long-term Chromebook loans
- Students are responsible for the safekeeping of each device borrowed.
- Chromebooks must be returned to the library by 3:15 daily for recharging.
- Daily borrowed Chromebooks may not taken home.
The LLC has a Conference/collaboration room that may be reserved by students and staff. Please speak to a staff member at the circulation desk to reserve the space. It includes a desk that can sit 15 people comfortably, an 86 inch television to project your devices, and a whiteboard.
The LLC is a great place to engage in relaxing and fun makerspace activities. The library is equipped with cricut maker, heat press, jigsaw puzzles, board games, colouring stations, and much more. Stay tuned for special makerspace events like t-shirt press pop stations and other training.
