Course Selection Process and Timelines
Students submit their course selections every February for the next school year through their Pathway Planner on myBlueprint. Once their submissions are made, an email is automatically sent to their parent/guardian for approval. Guidance counsellors will then review each student’s timetable to ensure that pathway requirements, graduation requirements, and prerequisite courses are met. If there are significant changes that need to be made, students and their families are made aware. Timetables are then released at the end of August prior to the start of school. If there are any conflicts or requests for necessary course changes, students must submit a signed course change request form and wait for their counsellor’s response. Necessary course changes are as follows: need to change level (i.e. academic or applied) failed a course and therefore have no prerequisite completed a summer school course grade 12 straight drop (must maintain 3 courses per semester)
