The school library provides all members of the school community with access to information, reading, research assistance and instruction.
Through formal and informal instruction, our school library program strives to:
Provide students with skills to research and evaluate information
Encourage ethical use of information
Foster critical skills and independent learning
Nurture a love of reading
Create a safe, inclusive and respectful environment which promotes students’ learning and well-being.
The goal of the school library program is to ensure that our students become competent, critical, and ethical users of ideas and information. We strive to prepare life-long learners; information literate citizens able to recognize relevant and authoritative information, and effectively communicate the results of their inquiry and research.
