Who is on the Williams’ School Council?
The Williams’ School Council includes a group of elected parents, the principal, a teacher representative, a non-teaching staff member, and a student. All of the parents on the School Council are unpaid volunteers. Elected parent members represent all the parents/guardians of students at Williams. Parents work co-operatively with the school administration to build a strong school community that works in the best interests of Williams’ students.
How can I join School Council?
Come to our first meeting of the school year! At the first School Council meeting in September, we hold an election for parent members.
Can I attend a School Council Meeting if I am not an elected parent member?
Yes! All parents/guardians of Williams’ students are always welcome to attend School Council meetings. There are six meetings each year; non-elected parents can attend as many of these meetings as they like.
