Principal’s Message

Hello Families,

Recently, our staff engaged in professional learning focused on dismantling anti-Asian racism, an important step toward creating a school environment where every student feels valued and supported. This work is directly connected to student success; when our students experience belonging and safety, they are better able to learn and thrive. It also aligns with the York Region District School Board’s commitment to equity and inclusion, which calls on us to challenge all forms of oppression and discrimination.

As part of this learning, we explored strategies to better support our multilingual learners, recognizing the rich diversity of languages and cultures in our school community. These conversations will help our teaching faculty create more inclusive classroom practices, use culturally responsive resources, and strengthen communication with you, our families. By deepening our understanding and taking action, we are working together to ensure that every student has the tools and confidence to reach their full potential.

Mr. Gazaneo

Principal
